The primary reason the lake was named Artemis Lake, is it sits very close to the borders of Arkansas and Tennessee, and is in Mississippi. "ar-te-mis"
In additional findings, it was learned that Artemis was a Greek Goddess, and among other things, she was the Goddess of the hunt, wilderness, and wild animals.
Enjoy fishing the lake, it has been tested for bass population and lake health. The lake is very healthy. There are about 800 pounds too many of bass. At this time, catch and release is actually discouraged for any adult bass. Feel free to take and enjoy, or rehome if you know of a nearby need.
You must have an approved waiver on file before entering lake property, being on the water, or fishing.
Use of lake is at your own risk and you assume ALL liability when using the lake. Lake ownership is not responsible or liable for any damang, loss, or injury while on the lake or lake premises. Lake is secured and only to be accessed by approved HOA permit holding and key holding people.
For anyone to use the lake, you MUST sign a waiver, which includes release of liability and assumption of risk. You must also have received an email in return, approving you to use the lake. Failure to comply will result in loss of lake premises for all members living at the property address. If there are violaters they will be considered trespassing and will be prosecuted.
Swimming in the lake is strictly prohibited.
There is no swimming so there should be no diving. The lake contains underwater obstacles and submerged hazards. Diving is strictly prohibited.
Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times when near or on the water.
The use of alcohol or drigs that impair judgement is strictly prohibited while near the lake or on the water, or engaging in any lake activities.

Do not disturb, harm, or feed wild animals, including snakes, and other potentially dangerous wildlife.
Watercraft restrictions-Only properly registered boats, as required by the state of Mississippi, with required safety equipment are allowed.
Motor Limits – Boats are limited to those with either: No motor at all, or an electric “trolling motor” requiring a battery connection but no fuel.
Life Jackets – All occupants must wear appropriate life preservers at all times.
No Unauthorized Watercraft – Unauthorized boats are prohibited.
Fishing Regulations – Fishing is permitted and must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including licensing, catch limits, and species restrictions.
ATV and UTV Restrictions – ATVs and UTVs are not allowed except for launching boats.
Access Hours – No boats will be allowed on our lake before sunrise or later than sunset or 8:00 p.m., whichever is earlier.
Guest Policy – Only property owners in good standing with HOA dues and holding a valid lake permit/key may bring guests. Guests must be accompanied by the permit holder at all times and follow all lake rules.
Levee Property Rules – These rules apply to all levee property areas.
Follow HOA Rules – All users must comply with Blue Lake Springs Community HOA’s rules and regulations at all times.
No Littering – All trash must be removed from the premises by the property owner.
Pets Allowed – Pets are permitted, but owners must clean up after them.
